Wynyard Road shop celebrates 25 years of fundraising
It’s 1992. Absolutely Fabulous airs for the first time, Church of England votes to allow female priests, the Premier League starts and the first text message was sent.
In Hartlepool, Wynyard Road Charity Shop opened its doors and has been raising funds for the Hospice ever since.
Happy birthday Wynyard Road Charity Shop which opened 25 years ago last month.
Run by an army of volunteers and supported by Shop Manager Albert Spence, Wynyard Road Shop currently raises around £70,000 a year for Alice House Hospice.
The Hospice now has eleven shops across Hartlepool and East Durham and in the year ending March 2017 they raised over £600,000 for the Hospice.
This money is vital for many patients in our local community to continue receiving specialist palliative care and support free of charge.
