Supporter Day Roadshow 2017
Supporters who attended the 2nd annual Supporter Roadshow at the Hartlepool College of Further Education were treated to talks to from staff from Alice House Hospice.
“I would like to extend a big thank you to Hartlepool College of FE for hosting the event and their amazing staff who helped the day to go without a hitch.”
Rebecca Jobson, Senior Manager Fundraising
Topics included Nurse Practitioners and how they work with patients to get access to the right care, the Jo & Mya Education Project and the difference this is making to school staff to support children coping with bereavement across the region, as well as a passionate talk from our Chief Executive Tracy Woodall who described how services constantly change to meet the needs of the community.
Carolyn Tilly from Till, Bailey and Irvine also gave up her time for free to talk to supporters about the importance of having a properly written Will, the benefits of Lasting Powers of Attorney as well as the creation of Family Trusts.
Feedback from the day was excellent with comments such as:
“Very informative, I wasn’t aware of a lot of things that the Hospice do. It was nice to hear of their future plans.”
“I found it interesting to hear about the many services that the Hospice offers. There are a lot more than people think.”
“Really moving, it reminded me why I started donations and support in the first place.”
