Join us for Dog’s Day Out
Lorna Jones, Vice Chair of Alice House Hospice trustees has taken part in every Dogs’ Big Day Out fundraising event held by the Hospice since 2011 with her dog a male 7 year old Shih-zu called Bendle.
“Bendle and I love coming to the Dogs’ Big Day Out; it’s a fun event and great social day for us both. The walk is a lovely start to the event and Bendle especially likes having a go on the agility course. There’s plenty to do and we like browsing the stalls.”

Bendle, named after Hospice founder and Lorna’s mother Alice Bendle also is the Alice House pet therapy dog and visits Hospice patients every week.

There is a full day of activities starting with a sponsored walk around Summerhill followed by displays, have a go agility course, fun dog show, games and much more. There will be a variety of stalls where humans can buy or win gifts and treats for their four legged friends.
Janice Forbes, Community Fundraiser at Alice House said “it is always lovely to see Lorna and Bendle at our Dogs’ Big Day Out and we look forward to seeing them this year. I would like to thank Bridge Veterinary Group for sponsoring the event and Cath from ADTB and Stacey from Star Paws for their help in organising and running of the event.”
