Join the Hospice for a sea of colour
Fundraisers at Alice House Hospice are busy planning their fourth Colour Run, which will turn Seaton Carew into a sea of colour on Saturday 21st July 2018.
The Colour Run is a 5km sponsored family fun run with a difference. Participants are showered with multi coloured powdered pain as they make their way along the picturesque sea front promenade at Seaton Carew.
This lively and colourful event is open to all ages and abilities and families are encouraged to come along and join in the fun. It is not a race, therefore you don’t need to run; you can walk, jog or jump, whichever takes your fancy. 2017’s event saw over 300 people taking part and fundraisers are hoping to attract over 500 people this year.
The run starts at the old coach park at Seaton Carew at 11am and a DJ will be entertaining the crowds from 10am to get everyone in the party mood. There will be dancers performing a warm up with participants before everyone joins together to throw the contents of their paint packets into the air to pour down on the crowd, there will be four further paint stations along the route where runners will be showered in more brightly coloured powdered paint.
Janice Forbes, Hospice Community Fundraiser, said, “We are so much looking forward to this next colourful, fun event; last year’s was brilliant and we had some really positive feedback from people who took part:”
“Great family event!”
“Had a great time and will definitely be back in 2018”
Registration is only £15 for adults, £10 for children or £40 for a family ticket (2 children and 2 adults) and includes a white T-shirt, a packet of paint powder and refreshments.
