Local Luncheon Club celebrates 25th anniversary with a Hospice fundraiser
Local group Castle Eden ladies Luncheon Club are celebrating their 25th anniversary this year and as part of their celebrations they hosted a musical evening to raise funds for Alice House Hospice.
Mary Baggs , Chairperson of the group “What a delightful evening for all who attended the evening and the 250 members of the audience enjoyed new choir Choral Interlude’s musical director Sinead Livingston’s arrangements of Thule Mama , followed by baritone Jonathan Worthy singing songs from the shows accompanied by the amazing Steven Sild on piano. A real treat which delighted the audience.”
“George Colley and Hartlepool Community Singers graced the stage with a delightful rendition of The Vicar of Dibley and many other popular songs before the evening drew to a close with Jonathan Worthy and Steven Sild giving us all a real treat with ‘If I was a Rich Man’ from Fiddler on the Roof with a performance excelling all expectations.”
Mary added “I would like to thank everyone who took part in the evening, Father Michael Griffiths for the use of the magnificent Church; apart from a most enjoyable evening, we raised £1,500 for Alice House Hospice.”
