A successful 2 year partnership is celebrated
Alice House Hospice is celebrating the huge success of their two year partnership with Sainsbury’s Middle Warren branch which raised a total of £6,600 for the local charity.
Customers nominated the Hospice to be the store’s chosen charity for two consecutive years, during which money was raised from a variety of in store initiatives including raffles, cake sales and collections, as well as money raised from the sale of carrier bags. Sainsbury’s also donated flowers to patients and resources for various events.
Greg Hildreth, a Corporate Fundraiser at Alice House recently visited the branch to celebrate the success of the last year, which generated £2,010 for patient care services.
Greg said “The staff and customers of Sainsbury’s have shown remarkable generosity and this has made a huge difference in helping our nursing staff provide the care and support that patients and their families need. I’d like to say a huge thank you on their behalf and from everyone here at Alice House.”
Neil Whales, the Store Manager said “It has been an absolute pleasure working with charity for the last 2 years and all our customers and colleagues are so proud to make a difference in people’s lives in the community.”
