A trip back in time at Alice House
Patients, staff and volunteers at Alice House Holistic Wellbeing Centre recently went ‘back in time’ to visit the days of the 2nd World War.
There was bunting decorating the centre, old fashioned songs were playing and the staff and volunteers were dressed according to the era.
Paula McIver, Healthcare Assistant said, “The patients thought it was marvellous; we all came in fancy dress, some as land girls and others choosing to wear aprons and headscarves. There was such a lovely atmosphere and to top it off local singer and Hospice volunteer, Tess Dollin, joined us to sing old wartime songs; everyone thoroughly enjoyed it.”
The day was such a success that staff and volunteers are now making plans for another themed day so watch this space…
