Celebrate Giving Tuesday #GivingTuesday
Did you know that Tuesday 27th November is Giving Tuesday; a day to do good stuff for charity?
Giving Tuesday is an international day of giving which follows Black Friday and Cyber Monday and is a chance to give back to good causes that are close to your hearts.
Fundraisers at Alice House Hospice have even got a suggestion for how you can help. Why not mark #GivingTuesday by “Sharing a Card” in one simple click and making a donation in lieu of sending Christmas cards. They know that you will want to let your loved ones know that you are wishing them a Merry Christmas so you can also share your Christmas message and donation on social media (and spread the word for this great campaign at the same time).
Rebecca Jobson, Senior Manager Fundraising said, “This is what the support of Alice House Hospice means to patients and families.”
“We got Mam back for a short while when she was in your care and, for the memories made during that time, we cannot thank you enough.“ Anonymous
Rebecca continued, “It costs £2,374 per day to fund Alice House Hospice’s 8 bedded Inpatient Unit. Local people deserve dignity, compassion, care and support when coping with illnesses such as Motor Neurone Disease, Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis and many types of cancer. Pain relief, a home cooked Christmas lunch and round the clock care and support from a dedicated medical team is what we can provide this Christmas day with your help.”
All you need to do is visit Share Your Support and make your donation; using the Share button on the same page you can quickly and easily add your Christmas message to social media so that your friends and family know they are in your thoughts this festive season.
