They both have a love of animals and enjoy helping out so becoming the Hospice’s very first Henkeepers seemed like the perfect fit.

Each week Emma and Lewis travel from Billingham to help look after the hens, Martha, Paxo, Henny Penny and Tuffty Belle.  They clean out the hen house, replenish their food and drink and spend a bit of time with the 4 ladies.

Emma says “It is great helping out with the hens, Lewis loves being with animals and we are even thinking of getting some ourselves.  The 4 hens are such characters’.

Emma and Lewis are no strangers to Alice House and have this year alone taken part in the Moonlight Memory Walk and more recently the Santa Fun Run.
