Yorkshire Bank raise over £1,000 going purple
Yorkshire bank pulled out the stops during Purple Week this year and raised over £1,000 for local charity Alice House Hospice.
The week of purple fundraising saw in-store activities including a cake sale raise in the region of £500 which was subsequently matched by the bank to bring the total to over £1,000.
Branch Manager Heather Dalgarno said “We are as always delighted to support such an important charity at the heart of our community; our staff and customers have been immensely generous this year generating much needed funds for the Hospice.”
Greg Hildreth, Corporate Fundraiser at Alice House added “The support received from Yorkshire Bank staff and customers has been brilliant and all of the money raised will be used to help provide Hospice care to local patients. This kind of support is vital in helping to sustain our work, which helps hundreds of families every year. We are delighted with the success of this year’s Purple Week and look forward to announcing the total raised, as soon as we know.”
Yorkshire Bank staff will also be continuing their partnership with Alice House when staff members will be volunteering a day to tidy up the Hospice gardens.
