Hays Travel arrange coach trip to York to raise funds for Alice House
Hays Travel in Hartlepool are showing support for their local Hospice by organising a summer coach trip to York, with proceeds going to Alice House.
The travel agents have supported Alice House Hospice in a variety of ways over the years, including sponsorship and raffles, but this latest idea came from a conversation between Carol Sennett, Corporate Fundraiser at the Hospice and Kirsty Fay Wilson, Hays Branch Manager in Hartlepool.
The away day takes place on Sunday 14 July, picking up from outside the Central Library in York Road and returning later the same day.
There will also be games on the bus on the way down, which will help to boost the day’s fundraising. Once in York, passengers are free to spend the day however they wish, before enjoying a relaxing ride home.
Carol said of the new event, “We are really pleased to be working with Hays again and the fact that they have organised this fundraiser at no cost to the Hospice shows what a generous and community minded organisation they are. I’m sure lots of people will want to take advantage of this opportunity to get to York and back at such a bargain price, whilst supporting a very important cause. As always, everything raised will be used to fund Hospice care for patients and families affected by incurable illnesses.”
Hays Branch Manager Kirsty Fay Wilson added, “We are really happy to support our local Hospice who provide invaluable care to patients and families in Hartlepool.”
Return tickets are just £10 per person.
