Local dogs are getting ready for their annual day out
We are really looking forward to our 10th-anniversary Dogs’ Big Day Out.
This fun packed event takes place on Sunday 7th July at Summerhill Country Park in Hartlepool and runs from 10am until 3pm. The day is guaranteed to get tails wagging with lots of displays and activities for both owners and their dogs to join in.
The Dogs’ Big Day Out has raised over £25,000 since it started!

New this year is a display by the fantastic All Weather Flying Disc Dogs who will be performing numerous tricks and showing off their amazing skills.
Other activities include a sponsored dog walk around Summerhill, demonstrations, have-a-go agility, parade of breeds, tombola, and doggy games. There will also be lots of stalls where you can buy lovely treats for your dog.
The highlight of the day is the fun dog show with 10 classes including: Most Handsome Dog, Best Rescue Dog, Saddest Eyes and Waggiest Tail. Rosettes are awarded for 1st to 3rd in each class and the winners of each class compete together for Best in Show and Reserve Best in Show.
Janice Forbes the Hospice’s Community Fundraiser, said “I am really looking forward to our Dogs’ Big Day Out. Each year we get more and more dogs registering and I would like to say a huge thanks to Bridge Veterinary Group who are once again sponsoring the event. The Dogs’ Big Day Out has raised over £25,000 since it started so it would be great to see lots of dogs and their owners helping us celebrate the 10th anniversary of this brilliant day out.”
Registration is £8 per dog (2 for £13 and 3 for £16) which includes a doggy bag, rosette and free entry to the Dog Show and doggy games.
