Moonlight Walkers return for 2019
A local business and patron of Alice House, J & B Recycling have pledged to sponsor one of the charity’s most loved events for the second consecutive year.
The waste management company, based on Thomlinson Road are once again backing the annual Moonlight Walk, where people raise sponsorship to walk from the Museum of the Royal Navy to Seaton Carew Golf Club and back.
The event opens at 8pm on Saturday 14 September when walkers will be treated to a pre-event warm up party with refreshments and entertainment from Deck One Discos before setting off on the 5 mile route at 10pm.
J & B Recycling are long term supporters of Alice House, who are delighted to collaborate with them on a second Moonlight Walk event; Fundraiser Greg Hildreth said “It’s so good to have the ongoing support of J & B, who have given so much to local Hospice care over the years. Without this kind of support from businesses, we would not be able to provide the services we offer to the local community. Their sponsorship also means that event costs are offset, ensuring that all funds raised go towards caring for people and families affected by incurable illnesses. I hope that lots of people will join us and help to make it a great success and a night to remember.”
The event is now in its 13th year and has raised over £330,000 since it began in 2007, making it one of Alice House’s most successful flagship events.
