Annaliese is a regular runner and said before the event, “I am a proud supporter of Alice House Hospice.  I have been a Trustee of the Hospice for a number of years and I am so looking forward to taking part in the iconic Great North Run this year to raise vital funds for Alice House Hospice and support their fantastic work!”

Ray Priestman has run the GNR some years ago but returned to the event this year as part of his 12 challenges to mark his 60th birthday.  Ray said, “I ran the Great North Run as part of my year of Challenges in support of Alice House Hospice. I have volunteered as a Trustee of the Hospice for around 20 years, it is such a worthy cause and does fantastic work for the local community. I am proud to do my little bit to help and support Alice House.

Greg Hildreth, Corporate Fundraiser at Alice House said, “The support of the runners this year has been absolutely amazing and they made a great team together on the day.  Thank you so much to everyone for their efforts and I hope you are all looking forward to a rest from running for a while.
