Liam Gough Annual Tribute Night
Organisers of a popular annual fundraising event, now in its 12th year are preparing to do it all again this November.
John Gough, with the support of his partner Ann Bates, organises the Liam Gough Tribute Night at Rovers Quoit Club every year in memory of his late brother and in aid of Alice House Hospice. The event is also a tribute to John and Liam’s sister, Angela O’Hara who has an area of the Hospice gardens named after her.
To date, this event has raised in excess of £24,000 for Hospice care; John and Ann were presented with an award from the Hospice at the 2017 event for their outstanding fundraising contribution.
Tickets are now on sale for the night which takes place at 7pm on Friday 22 November in Rovers Quoit Club on Easington Road, Hartlepool. The evening will include live music from The Valentines along with bingo, raffle, tombola and auction.
Greg Hildreth, a fundraiser at Alice House said “The continued support of John and Ann along with their family and friends makes a huge difference to Hospice patients every year. The nights they organise are always hugely enjoyable with a packed room and first class entertainment.
They are also a lovely tribute to Liam and Angela and it is great to see so many people coming year after year to raise money in their memory. I would recommend getting tickets early as they tend to sell very quickly.”
Tickets are £5 per head and available from John on 07904 641 875 or from Greg at the Hospice on 01429 855529.
