The branch, who are Charity Partners with Alice House, have shown their support in a number of ways including staff volunteering, in-house fundraising and company donations.

This year, there was an opportunity for branch manager Irina Ihemere to apply for some funding for a Christmas community project and she decided to try and source the money to sponsor the volunteers’ party. 

Irina, along with Hospice staff and volunteers, were delighted that the full £200 applied for was granted by TSB to pay for food and drink for the party.

Irina said “I’m so happy that our bid to secure funding for the Volunteer Christmas Party was successful. Alice House Hospice is very close to the hearts of many of our customers and our partners. It’s also very important for me and my team to support our local community in various ways and bring positive change. I’m very passionate about our charity work, in particular as it is a great way to give back to the local community and build the sense of pride in my team. So, if you see us baking, hiking, biking or just walking through the banking hall in tiger onesies, come and join us to support this amazing charity!’

Alice House Hospice’s Corporate Fundraiser Greg Hildreth added “We have enjoyed a very warm relationship with TSB staff over the years and their support has helped to make a huge difference to local Hospice care.

This is a really valuable donation as it helps us to thank our large volunteer workforce who give so much of their own time working in our shops, supporting fundraising and helping out in the Hospice. I would like to say thank you and very best wishes to all our volunteers and to Irina and her team at TSB.”

Irina and TSB staff are also holding a fundraising day in aid of Alice House on Tuesday 17 December in branch with raffles and other activities.
