James Tudor Foundation supporting our Nurse Practitioner
Sue says “Thank you”
In October 2019 we welcomed Sue Whalley to the Alice House team as our new Nurse Practitioner.
Sue works across our Inpatient Unit, Long Term Unit and Day Hospice where, as well as reviewing patients’ symptoms, carrying out medical procedures and prescribing medications, she also provides level 2 psychological support.
We were delighted when The James Tudor Foundation, a long-time supporter of Alice House Hospice, decided to award a grant specifically to support the Nurse Practitioner role.
Sue says “I am so pleased that this trust decided to fund my post for a period of time. I absolutely love working at the Hospice. Here at Alice House, alongside an amazing team, I can help to deliver a high level of specialist palliative care and really make a difference to patients and their loved ones. Thank you so much to The James Tudor Foundation for their generosity”
