New Event a Huge Success
Alice House Hospice has collaborated with a number of high-profile, local organisations to host the first-ever Alice House Hospice Celebration Dinner, held at the luxurious Wynyard Hall and raising an incredible £11,500 for patient care services.
The event was sponsored by Hospice Patrons Utility Alliance and co-hosted by Property Webmasters and Orangebox Training Solutions, who helped to organise the night. It was compered by Simon Corbett, CEO at Orangebox and was also attended by Santander staff who organised the raffle and auction.
Jamie Arthur, CEO of Property Webmasters said “We have supported Alice House for a number of years and experienced first hand through friends and family the inspiring service they offer. We are incredibly proud to be able to contribute, helping a cause that gives dignity and support to people at some of the most difficult times. It’s so important to us at Property Webmasters as we continue to grow as a business, to also help and support Alice House in any way we can as they continue their fantastic work in our local area.”
Simon Corbett, CEO of Orange Box said “When I was asked to be involved with a fundraising celebration evening for Alice House by my brother in law Jamie Arthur it was a ‘no brainer’, it was one of the easiest decisions I’ve had to make. It’s fantastic to be able to support such a charity. The event itself was excellent with so many people contributing and making it a thoroughly enjoyable evening. I’m already looking forward to the next one in September.”
Guests were treated to reception drinks and live music from guitarist and singer Lee Maddison, before enjoying a three-course dinner, disco and more live music from The Fallen, along with amazing close-up magic from Paul Lytton.
Ian Willis, PR & Marketing Manager at Utility Alliance, said, “We were delighted to be able to sponsor the event as one of Alice House Hospice’s Patrons and it was a privilege to be involved in such a fantastic event. Full credit must go to Greg and Julie and the team from Alice House, and it was fantastic to see them raise such a huge amount of money for what we all know is a very worthy cause.”
Julie Hildreth, Senior Fundraising Manager at Alice House said “This was a great example of businesses coming together to help local Hospice care. The support we received from our sponsors and partners brought a room full of people together for a very successful fundraising event.
It was lovely to see many of our long-term supporters in attendance, as well as a lot of new faces becoming involved for the first time.
On behalf of everyone at the Hospice, I would like to thank everyone who supported and worked so hard on making the evening a success, all who donated prizes and volunteered their time and all of our wonderful guests for their warmth and kindness.”
