Dance Cabaret in memory of Antony
A local dance studio recently held a fundraising event and raised over £1,700 for Alice House Hospice.
Amy Richardson Dance Studios held a Cabaret evening on 27 September at Hartlepool’s Corporation Club in memory of Antony Weegram.
The evening showcased entertainment from the studio’s 3-day Summer Intensive as well as special performances from some of their 2019 Champions and British Finalists. As well as the performances there were raffles, tombola, stand up bingo, sweet treats and games.
The event was a huge success and raised a tremendous £2,700; £1,700 for Alice House Hospice and £1,000 for the dance school.
Amy Richardson said: “I would like to thank everyone for their generosity and love and those who donated prizes. Antony’s two daughters, Scarlett and Sofia, both attend the dance school and Alice House has a special place in our hearts; that’s why we chose to raise funds for the Hospice.”
Janice Forbes, Community Fundraiser at the Hospice said: “This was such a lovely thing to do in Antony’s memory and I hope that the Weegram family were able to get some comfort from the support from Amy Richardson.”
