Idha’s One Mile Marathon for Alice House
Seven year old Idha Hildreth from Hartlepool is taking part in the One Mile Marathon in support of Alice House Hospice.
Idha is running one mile every day for twenty six days and started her challenge on 1 April and is raising sponsorship for Alice House whose fundraising has been hit hard by the Coronavirus crisis.
Idha goes out running once a day with her dad and varies her route; she enjoys warming up before the run and has found that with each mile she is getting gradually faster.
Idha has supported Alice House in the past, taking part in the Santa Fun Run, Unicorn and Dragon Hunt as well as attending other events such as the Summer and Christmas Fayres. At home, Idha collects spare change and pocket money in a Hospice Home Collection Box which is donated to the charity each time it is filled.
When Idha heard that Alice House needed extra help she was keen to get her trainers on and take part and wants to thank the Hospice for looking after the patients and all of her sponsors for helping her to raise money.
Idha has an online giving page and has also been pledged sponsorship which will take her total to over £600 (at the time of writing). You can sponsor Idha HERE
Rebecca Jobson from Alice House said “We are so grateful to Idha, her sponsors and everyone else who is supporting our patients at this very difficult time. She has raised an incredible amount so far. Well done!”
