The patients on our Long Term Unit often like to sit outside in the warm sunshine and spend time with their families who can visit as often as they like – it’s a home from home.

It is so important that our patients have access to an outdoor area where they can enjoy fresh air and the benefits to their mental wellbeing of being outside.

Some patients will be experiencing their last summer, some will be missing their own gardens and many will have restricted mobility, so to be able to offer them an outdoor space of their own is hugely valuable.
