Another Huge golfing success for Alice House
A charity golf day at The Wynyard Club has raised around £24,000 in much needed funding for Alice House Hospice.
The day was organised by regular supporter Rob Hoskins, whose golf days have generated around £230,000 for the charity over the years.
Rob recruited 25 teams to take part in the 4-ball competition and ensured that there were additional challenges and competitions around the course, to give the day a fun atmosphere.
Following the golf, players and event sponsors enjoyed a meal in the clubhouse, along with a charity auction and raffle, with all money raised going towards the event’s fantastic total.
The event was the first of its kind to take place for the Hospice post COVID-19 and fundraisers for the local charity were delighted to be back.
The event was sponsored by regular sponsors Drive Vauxhall and Fine and Country Estate Agents who also entered teams on the day.
Fundraising Senior Manager Julie Hildreth said, “We thoroughly enjoyed the day and seeing the incredible amount of money raised for Alice House. It went without a hitch and it was great to see all of the players enjoying themselves.
Huge thanks go to Rob and family, as well as everyone else who supported, donated, sponsored or volunteered their time on the day. This kind of support really does make a huge difference and helps to ensure that the Hospice is there to provide care to local patients and families in the future.”
