Taking a leap for Alice House
A group of 17 brave people will be taking on a challenge of a lifetime in support of Alice House Hospice.
On 24th June 2023, 17 supporters will be sat in a plane at Shotton Airfield with Sky High Skydiving. The plane will take them up to 10,000 feet before they jump, one by one, in tandem sky dives to raise money for Alice House.
This thrilling challenge will see them free-fall for approximately 30 seconds travelling at around 125mph before their tandem instructors deploy their parachutes at around 1mile above ground. That’s their chance to relax for a few minutes of tranquility and enjoy the breath-taking views as they gently float back to the ground.
Nicola Haggan, Sarah Hutchinson, Alison Emerson and Kennedy Simpson from Alice House; Ray Priestman, Chair of Trustees at Alice House; Team of 9, Debs Wings (Lee & Robert Burrell, David Roberts, Jordan Jaques, Leanne Taylor, David Jones, Lee Stewart, Harrison Cope and Julie Wilsher); Lucy Hall, Aron Stranks and Ruby Malcolm.
Janice Forbes, Community Fundraiser at Alice House said, “This is going to be a really exciting day! We’d love more people to join the Sky Diving Team but for those of you who don’t want to make any daredevil jumps – you can still support us by sponsoring the team.”
