The sold-out event is sponsored by X-energy and is supported by a other people and businesses including Harrison Smith, Financial Advisor, who had the initial idea of organising the day to raise money for the Hospice. Harrison has also provided additional sponsorship for the day and a special hole-in-one competition, with a one-off prize of £5,000.

Harrison put his idea to Hospice Managers and with the support of Club Manager Mark Davies, and Rephrase Media’s Paul Fraser, a planning group was formed to ensure the day’s success.

21 teams, mainly from local businesses will tee off on 22 March to raise funds for the charity in a 4-ball competition, which also includes a meal, putting competition, raffle and auction.

The compere for the event is Simon Corbett, CEO of Orangebox Training Solutions and staff from Santander are volunteering to help out on the day.

The competition will be covered by the Hospice’s Volunteer Photographer Ash Foster, and SkyCam who will be capturing drone footage of the event – photos and full story to follow.

Headline sponsors X-energy will compete in the tournament and provide gift bags for all teams. A representative of X-energy will be awarding prizes to the first, second and third placing teams.

In addition to X-energy’s generous support, other companies have come forward to sponsor all holes on the course for the day, along with additional sponsorships to boost fundraising income even further.
