Santa Run Back for 2024
Families will be getting in the Christmas spirit at this year’s Santa Fun Run in aid of Alice House Hospice.
The annual event is expected to attract hundreds to Ward Jackson Park on Sunday 1 December for a lap of the park in festive fancy dress.
The event is supported by DJ Gavin Lancaster of Higham Discos, who will be there to set the mood and warm up crowds with some seasonal classics.
The run will start and end at The Place In the Park, where everyone taking part will receive a mince pie upon completion.
Hospice Fundraiser Gil Parker said, “The Santa Fun Run is a tradition for many families now and it is great to see so many people starting their Christmas celebrations with us. It is open to all ages and abilities and whatever the weather, guarantees a warm and friendly atmosphere for all.
“All of the money raised from the event will be used to fund local Hospice care – we are looking forward to another brilliant event in aid of our patients.”
This year is the Hospice’s 16th Santa Run and it is estimated to have raised around £50,000 for local patient services since the first run in 2008.
All adults will receive a Santa costume and children will receive a Santa hat or reindeer antlers. Children will also be presented with a medal for taking part.
Entries are priced as follows: £12 for adults, £8 for children or £30 for a family of 4. For full details and to sign up, go to https://alicehousehospice.co.uk/event/santa-fun-run-2024/
Participants are encouraged to raise sponsorship for the Hospice, although this is not a condition of entry.
