Monday Club hits £500 fundraising total for Alice House

A local community group has turned their hand to crafting and a number of social activities to raise vital funds for local Hospice care.

The Monday Club meets weekly at Ardrossan Court in Hartlepool, consisting of 30 ladies who are residents and friends of the housing complex.

After naming Alice House Hospice to benefit from their activities, the industrious group raised £500 from activities including knitting, sewing, bingo and other productive and fun pursuits.

Fundraiser Gil Parker of Alice House sent a message of thanks to the group and praised their success;

“It really is fantastic when community organisations set their minds to supporting the Hospice and the results speak from themselves. I hope everyone involved had a great time whilst raising this money which is already being put to good use funding care for local patients and their families.

“Congratulations to the members of The Monday Club on such a wonderful contribution. It is support such as this that ensures Hospice care remains available for those who need it.”
