Grieving During Lockdown

Coping with the grief and death of a loved one, especially during this period of continued lockdown, is very difficult. We have had to make some temporary changes to our usual Counselling & Support services but hope that the following links may help those who are needing support at this time

Crafting for our patients during lockdown

New to volunteering for Alice House Jennifer Hansen has used her time during lockdown to help patients and their families in a different way.

Jennifer Hansen was set to join the Alice House Communications Team as a volunteer working on the 40th Anniversary Celebrations just as the country went into lockdown due to the Coronavirus Pandemic and all volunteers were asked to stay at home to ensure their safety and that of our patients and staff.

Jen Aylesbury, Oupatient Services Manager at Alice House Hospice recently attended a Clinical Supervisory Skills Workshop and as part of this took part in many sessions throughout the day; by far the most powerful session was when she was asked what her purpose was within her role.

Alice House Hospice withdraws from health village plan

Alice House Hospice has decided not to continue with the project of developing the Health Village on the vacant Hospital land belonging to North Tees & Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust.
