Join in and help to make thousands of knitted Easter chicks, each containing a Chocolate Creme Egg and sold to raise funds for Alice House Hospice.

We are appealing to knitting groups and individuals to make and donate as many little woolly chicks as possible.

The chicks and eggs will be sold in schools, shops and businesses throughout Hartlepool & East Durham to raise money to fund care and support to local patients and their families.

How to get involved?

Put your knitting needles to work to make as many little chicks as you can manage. Chicks can be as colourful as you please; you don’t have to stick to yellow.  Feel free to get creative and customise your chicks with knitted hats, scarves and accessories.

Once you have finished your chicks you can either post them, or drop them off at the Hospice (address below) or one of our charity shops.  We will need them by 10 March 2024 please, ready to go out to be sold.

If you don’t knit but want to help, we need Chocolate Creme Eggs to go in the chicks; so any amount you can donate would be fantastic.
