
Lucky staff members from Hartlepool workplaces could win an extra day off as part of a new fundraiser in partnership between Alice House Hospice and local businesses.

The third Win a Duvet Day campaign is sponsored by Direct Beds Hartlepool and is a prize draw taking place throughout March, with one winner from each place of work receiving an extra day’s holiday.
Hospice Community Fundraiser Janice Forbes explained how it works; “This is a simple way for companies to support local Hospice care without incurring any additional expense. We asking businesses to hold a raffle for one of their staff members to win an additional day off, it’s a bit of fun and a morale booster for the dark winter months. All of the money raised from the raffles will go directly towards funding our services.”
Ian Heseltine, manager of Direct Beds said “We are pleased to sponsor this event and help to raise money for a vital local cause; I’m sure it will be popular and wish all entrants the best of luck – I hope they get to enjoy a lovely day at home.”
