Patient & Carer Feedback
We want to know how we are doing, we are constantly reviewing and improving our services. Here are some comments from patients and carers, we would love to hear from you too!
"You are all such lovely people and you carry out your duties with such dignity and care it is very humbling."
“Thank you for the incredible care and love shown to our mum, and indeed all of us. You wrapped us all up and carried us through each day, giving us your strength when we had lost ours. Each and every one of you are a credit to the name of Alice House and what it stands for. We will never forget your kindness.”
“To all the staff, I had heard from others how wonderful you all are, and have now experienced it first-hand. Thanks for taking such great care of me. Thank you!”
“The care at this hospice is 1st class and I would recommend it to any family as a place to spend quality time with your loved ones in a safe and comfortable environment.”
“Such dedicated, gentle and attentive care with us involved in every decision. We will support the Hospice for the rest of our lives.”
“The homely touches – a fleecy blanket around her, a comfy recliner chair for us to rest on. Unlimited cups of tea and hugs from nurses.”
“Their care, understanding and above all, non-judgemental approach have been just what I needed to help me regain my self-confidence and help me to plan my feet back firmly on the ground.”
“All always welcomed me with cheery banter and a genuine concern for my wellbeing.”
“I would have no qualms about returning especially to sample the wonderful food served up by the catering staff.“
……The donation was just a little thank you …does not begin to show how all the family feel about how well Mam was cared for by all of the staff of Alice House.
As a nurse myself, I appreciate fully, how difficult it is to give quality care to a compromised client and an unwell person can be challenging due the nature of the illness and being displaced from their family home.
I can only congratulate you all on the hard work and commitment given to ensure a homely atmosphere and a friendly one at that.
I mean everything sincerely, and I honestly think your facility is unique with a unique group of staff, I don’t know how you’ve managed to do it – honestly, you are a one off and to be commended on the fact.
“They organised our wedding in 24 hours. WOW. Our day was truly amazing and magical; we couldn’t have done anymore ourselves. We both smiled all day and we created beautiful memories for all the family.”
“A very big thank you, this is not enough but I cannot find the words to express my gratitude.”
“Nothing at all is a problem for any of the staff, their dedication, care and treatment was second to none and thank you for treating my husband with the utmost respect and dedication.”
“The kindness, compassion and warmth from the whole Hospice Team is so reassuring that panic begins to subside. This Hospice is a place of healing due to every person playing their part. Thank You.”
“When we were told there was a place in the Hospice for my husband it seemed quite daunting but arriving in this home from home paradise with all these angels we were and are so privileged for both my husband and myself to be cared for.”
“Until one experiences the Hospice care it is impossible to imagine the difference in comparison to other healthcare, none having come close to their standard.”
