A great opportunity for someone wanting to get involved in voluntary work within the Events & Fundraising environment
Our Fundraising Team is dependent on the kind support of volunteers from the community donating their time to different events and projects all year round.
This volunteering opportunity is varied and works on an ad hoc basis to suit your availability and preferences, giving volunteers the freedom to choose the projects they wish to support, without committing to set regular hours.
Volunteers would work closely with Alice House’s Community Fundraiser who will share information on volunteering opportunities and offer guidance and support.
Volunteers are a huge and extremely valuable part of our team, helping to secure care for local patients and families, affected by incurable illnesses and accessing Hospice care.
Fundraising volunteers might offer to give their time to support our events in the following ways:
- Marshalling
- Registration
- Manning stalls
- Helping to set up / close down
- Distribution of literature or resources
- Selling raffle tickets
- Meeting and greeting
Other volunteering roles within the community include:
- Bucket collections
- Charity bag packs
- Collection or delivery of merchandise
- Representing or acting as an ambassador for Alice House Hospice
