Adult Bereavement Services
Alice House Hospice offers bereavement counselling to adults who reside in the communities of Hartlepool and East Durham. We provide a safe and relaxed environment where the clients feel they are able to express themselves and address those important issues that they feel they need additional support with.
Following a referral, an initial assessment will be conducted to ensure that we are the right team to support the individual referred.
The team have provided counselling to many people over the years, supporting those clients in managing their grief.
Bereaved Parents Drop-In
The Hospice’s Counselling & Support Service offers a monthly support group to parents who have experienced the death of an adult child.
This drop-in group is facilitated by a member of the Counselling Team and gives parents the opportunity to meet other bereaved parents, to talk about their feelings and share experiences openly in a safe and confidential environment.
