Children’s Bereavement Service
The Hospice Children’s Bereavement Service is a specialised service for children and young people.
Children do not always have the words to express the range of thoughts and feelings they experience when grieving.
Our highly trained Children’s Counsellors have the appropriate experience to help children with grief and loss. This can be done through play and creative activities, using specialised resources which enable the child to feel relaxed and comfortable while addressing those important issues.
The children’s counselling room is a warm and welcoming environment where children will feel safe to express themselves and build a trusing and professional relationship with their counsellor.
The Children’s Bereavement Service offers young people individual counselling or therapeutic group work.
