Hartlepool College of FE 2.6 Challenge for Alice House

A team of staff members at Hartlepool College of Further Education - Debbie Hill and “The Dedicated WARMS” who are responsible for the Welfare and Safeguarding of the students are participating in the 2.6 challenge to raise funds for Alice House Hospice and will be involving their families too.

The 2.6 Challenge is a national appeal to raise money for charities all over the country by asking supporters to raise money for their chosen organisations, based around the numbers 2 and 6.

Vital PPE donated to Alice House

Alice House has taken delivery of thousands of items of much-needed personal protective equipment (PPE) thanks to local authority and business donations.

Alice House received 1,000 aprons and 1,000 pairs of disposable gloves from Hartlepool Borough Council, and 1,000 face masks from EDF Energy, operator of Hartlepool Power Station.

Ramsdens Loose Change Scheme Supporting Alice House

Ramsdens, the popular currency exchange provider and financial services business, has launched a new initiative to encourage shoppers to transform their unwanted and unused foreign currency into much-needed funds for local charities

The Loose Change initiative will see each of Ramsdens’s 157 stores across the country introduce an unwanted currency collection point.

New Event a Huge Success

Alice House Hospice has collaborated with a number of high-profile, local organisations to host the first-ever Alice House Hospice Celebration Dinner, held at the luxurious Wynyard Hall and raising an incredible £11,500 for patient care services.

The event was sponsored by Hospice Patrons Utility Alliance and co-hosted by Property Webmasters and Orangebox Training Solutions, who helped to organise the night. It was compered by Simon Corbett, CEO at Orangebox and was also attended by Santander staff who organised the raffle and auction.

The £1’s Soon Added Up

A Hartlepool bistro has given a New Year boost to their local Hospice with a fundraising campaign which ran throughout January 2020.

The Harbour View on Navigation Point in Hartlepool Marina generously donated £1 for every table taken during the month of January to Alice House Hospice, raising a fantastic £425.

A great new event for 2020

Alice House Hospice are collaborating with a number of local supporters to host their first ever Cycle A Marathon event on the beautiful Hart to Haswell Walkway.

The 26.2 mile sponsored bike ride is open to over 16s and takes place on Sunday 1 March, when riders will meet at Barnard Grove Primary School and then make their way to the Hart to Haswell bike track via Ocean Road.

Enjoy a Celebration Dinner at Wynyard Hall

Alice House Hospice are collaborating with a number of their business partners to host a luxurious fundraising event in January to celebrate the work of the charity and the generous support it receives.

The Alice House Celebration Dinner will be held at Wynyard Hall on 31 January and is co-hosted by Property Webmasters and sponsored by Hospice Patrons Utility Alliance. The event is also supported by Orange Box Training Solutions Ltd. whose CEO, Simon Corbett will be compere for the evening.

Moonlight Walkers return for 2019

A local business and patron of Alice House, J & B Recycling have pledged to sponsor one of the charity’s most loved events for the second consecutive year.

The waste management company, based on Thomlinson Road are once again backing the annual Moonlight Walk, where people raise sponsorship to walk from the Museum of the Royal Navy to Seaton Carew Golf Club and back. 

Fab new family event supported by the local business community

Alice House Hospice are collaborating with Wynyard Hall and Kids 1st Nursery at Wynyard for a new family fundraising event.

The charity’s first ever Unicorn & Dragon Hunt takes place on Sunday 11 August in the scenic gardens at Wynyard Hall.
