Afternoon Tea & Fashion Show a massive success again

An Afternoon Tea and Fashion show, which was hosted for the fourth year by Tilly Bailey & Irvine, was held in September this year and raised almost £5,000 for patient care at Alice House Hospice.

The sellout event, held at the Hardwicke Hall Manor in Hartlepool, saw over 100 guests supporting the charity. The event was sponsored by Tilly Bailey & Irvine and Waltons Clark Whitehill for the fourth year in succession.

Big Lime Triathlon

Alice House Hospice supporter David Cranson took part in the Hartlepool Big Lime Triathlon on 30 September to raise funds for the local charity.

David is an army veteran who lost most of his sight through a hereditary condition; he was helped around the course by his friend and guide Darrel Slater. This is the third time that David has completed the challenge which consists of a 750 meter swim, a 20K bike ride and a 5k run, all in and around Hartlepool.

Why I’m running the Santa Fun Run

Each year Alice House Hospice holds a Santa Fun Run near to Christmas as part of their festive calendar of fundraising events.

Registration is open for this year’s event which will be held on 2nd December at Ward Jackson Park, Hartlepool; Emma Golightly was the first person to register this year.

Liam Gough Tribute event returns for 11th year

Organisers of a popular annual fundraising event, now in its 11th year are preparing to do it all again next this November.

John Gough, with the support of his partner Ann Bates, organises the Liam Gough Tribute Night at Rovers Quoit Club every year in memory of his late brother and in aid of Alice House Hospice. The event is also a tribute to John and Liam’s sister, Angela O’Hara who has an area of the Hospice gardens named after her.

Huge Great North Run Support for Alice House

63 runners of all ages took part in this year’s Great North Run in support of Alice House Hospice, who are strongly represented at the event every year. Hospice Fundraisers are hoping to raise £25,000 from this year’s event.

A successful 2 year partnership is celebrated

Alice House Hospice is celebrating the huge success of their two year partnership with Sainsbury’s Middle Warren branch which raised a total of £6,600 for the local charity.

Customers nominated the Hospice to be the store’s chosen charity for two consecutive years, during which money was raised from a variety of in store initiatives including raffles, cake sales and collections, as well as money raised from the sale of carrier bags. Sainsbury’s also donated flowers to patients and resources for various events.

Local Luncheon Club celebrates 25th anniversary with a Hospice fundraiser

Local group Castle Eden ladies Luncheon Club are celebrating their 25th anniversary this year and as part of their celebrations they hosted a musical evening to raise funds for Alice House Hospice.

Our Moonlight Memory Walk returns this September

We are inviting supporters of all ages to take part in the annual Moonlight Memory Walk this September. The event starts at 8pm on Saturday 8 September at Hartlepool College of Further Education with a pre-walk disco provided by Walter Barton of Deck One, playing non-stop hits from across the decades to get the walkers in the mood.

Following an aerobic warm-up, the walk will leaves the college at 10pm for a 5.5 mile circular route along the promenade at Seaton Carew to the Golf Club and back to the college.  Every walkers will receive a souvenir t-Shirt, refreshments, a medal and a hot supper on their return.

Hartlepool businesses join forces to support Alice House

Two of Hartlepool’s leading businesses and prominent supporters of Alice House have pledged their support to this year’s Moonlight Memory Walk, one of our most popular and well established events.

Hospice patron J&B Recycling and corporate partner Seymour Civil Engineering have co-sponsored the five mile night time walk which takes place on September 8. The route leaves Hartlepool College of Further Education at 10pm and is a circuit turning round at the halfway point at Seaton Carew Golf Club.
