Forget my fear of flying!

Craig Rogan saw first-hand the care given by Alice House Hospice to his father-in-law, Derek Winwood, his uncle, Chrissy Rogan and his close friend, Ste Cooper.

This is what inspired him to step well out of his comfort zone, alongside his friend Eddy Hetherington and take on a fundraising skydive challenge for the Hospice.

Hartlepool Golf Club Captain supports Alice House Hospice

Hartlepool Golf Club Captain Heath Hardman celebrated the end of his 2021-22 Captaincy by handing over a substantial donation to his chosen charity.

Heath, who ended his tenure as captain in February had raised almost £10,000 for Alice House Hospice from a number of events in the club, cash collections and club members taking part in the Great North Run for the local charity.

#VPC goes live!

An online fundraising phenomenon from the first lockdown launched its first live event and raised even more money for charity.

The #VirtualPubCrawl started as a bit of fun over the 2020 Easter Bank Holiday by Hartlepool man Rob Dignen. Whilst at home, Rob started to post links to songs on Twitter and used the hashtag, which soon started trending.

“Mum was born in Constantinople in 1910 – a British Citizen – just before the Turkish uprising, when she was refugeed with the rest of her family to Hull. Mum had 4 children, Margaret, Paddy, me and Robin, within 5 years – which meant a lot of hard work for her, but great for us kids!

Remembering Liam & Angela

A family, whose annual fundraising night in aid of Alice House Hospice has been compromised by the ongoing pandemic, have rallied together for the second consectutive year to collect donations for the local charity in lieu of their events proceeding.

The annual event, in memory of Liam Gough and Angela O’Hara is organised by their brother John Gough and his partner Ann Bates. The night has been running for over a decade and has raised close to £30,000 during this time.
