A local Philanthropic Society has continued their support of Alice House Hospice with a £2,000 donation.
Middlesbrough and Teesside Philanthropic Foundation is a registered charity set up by Teessiders for Teessiders.
Two Hartlepool youngsters are running 50 miles each this April in support of Alice House.
The girls initially set themselves a £200 target but have already smashed that with a total (at time of writing) already in excess of £500.
Patients, staff and volunteers at Alice House Hospice were treated to gifts of Easter Eggs and chocolates from the kind staff and customers of Hartlepool pub, The Nursery Inn on Hopps Street.
Despite being unable to open its doors since last year, Nursery regulars kindly rallied round to buy and donate the eggs as a thank you for the work done by the local charity, as well as giving them out to other local causes.
