High quality, compassionate and safe care always will be a priority for Alice House Hospice.
On 20 September a group of colleagues from Alice House Hospice calling themselves ‘The Purple Doves’ will climb out of their comfort zone and take on The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge.
The Purple Doves are four brave ladies; Paula Tempest, Cheryl Dignen, Lyndsey Carroll and Grace McCann. Also joining them as part of his ‘Twelve Challenges in Twelve Months’ is Ray Priestman, Chair of of Trustees at Alice House.
Local company Bridgman IBC completed a three day coast to coast bike ride in aid of their nominated charity Alice House Hospice and raised over £6,000 in sponsorship for patients and families who are affected by incurable illnesses.
Seven Bridgman IBC staff members took part in the challenge, cycling 148 miles and climbing 10,000 ft. over the three days. The team smashed their fundraising target of £5,000 and raised an incredible £6,169.72 which is already being put to good use at Alice House.
Hays Travel in Hartlepool are showing support for their local Hospice by organising a summer coach trip to York, with proceeds going to Alice House.
The travel agents have supported Alice House Hospice in a variety of ways over the years, including sponsorship and raffles, but this latest idea came from a conversation between Carol Sennett, Corporate Fundraiser at the Hospice and Kirsty Fay Wilson, Hays Branch Manager in Hartlepool.
We are really looking forward to our 10th-anniversary Dogs’ Big Day Out.
This fun packed event takes place on Sunday 7th July at Summerhill Country Park in Hartlepool and runs from 10am until 3pm. The day is guaranteed to get tails wagging with lots of displays and activities for both owners and their dogs to join in.
