This is Ed’s Story

There can be many barriers to people accessing the right care, in the right place and at the right time and this is something which Alice House Hospice have been trying to break down during the Hospice UK campaign “Open up Hospice Care” which is running throughout the month of March.

Lions walking for Alice House again

Tommy Miller of Peterlee and District Lions is organising the group’s sixth sponsored walk in aid of Alice House Hospice.

The walk of approximately three miles along a circular route takes place on Sunday 28 April around Castle Eden Dene, starting and finishing at the Hearts of Oak Pub, Peterlee.  Registration opens at 9.30am and the walk starts at 10am.

Golfers raise £17,000 for Alice House

Hartlepool Golf Club is celebrating a year of fundraising success for Alice House Hospice.

2018-19 Captain Neil Ashby had nominated the Hospice as his chosen charity throughout his captaincy and raised an incredible £17,000, which is currently being used to provide care to local patients and families.

Co-op Funeralcare sponsoring new event, the Memory Stroll

Registrations are coming in for Alice House Hospice’s new fundraising event for 2019, the Memory Stroll, where people will walk in memory of a loved one.

The event takes place on Sunday 28th April at the Heugh Battery Museum and is sponsored by the Co-op Funeralcare who are corporate partners of the charity.
