25 years of Castle Eden Ladies Club

Local social circle Castle Eden Ladies are celebrating their 25th anniversary this year and as part of the celebrations they are holding a musical evening in aid of Alice House Hospice.

Guest soloist Dr Jonathan Worthy will be singing songs from the shows accompanied by Steve Sild on piano.   Joining Jonathan will be two popular Hartlepool Choirs, Hartlepool Community Choir with director Mr George Colley and Coral Interlude Ladies Choir with director Miss Sinead Livingston.

Hartlepool Golf Club continues to support Alice House

Alice House Hospice continues to receive warm support through their long standing relationship with Hartlepool Golf Club.

2018-19 Captain Neil Ashby has followed many of the club’s previous captains and nominated Alice House as his chosen charity.

Colour Run Returns to Seaton Carew

Alice House Fundraisers are planning to turn Seaton Carew into a sea of colour again on Saturday 21 July with their 4th Colour Run.

The colour run is over a course of approximately 5km and is a sponsored family fun run with a difference; participants will be blasted with multi-coloured, powdered paint as they make their way along the picturesque sea front route at Seaton Carew.  This lively event is open to all ages and abilities and families are encouraged to come along and join in the fun.  You don’t need to run, you can walk, jog or jump.

Volunteering in Alice House Retail sector

A Retail Manager for Alice House Hospice’s charity shops is sharing his story in the hope that it will encourage others to get involved.

Albert Spence B.E.M. began volunteering in the Hospice’s Wynyard Road shop in Hartlepool in 2012; by 2013 he had taken a full time paid position and is now a Shop Manager. Albert’s other duties have included stock pricing, PAT testing, driving, delivering training and shop maintenance.

New member of Guild of Patrons receive plaque

Alice House Hospice’s newest Patrons were proud to be presented with a brand new plaque to display in their workplace in acknowledgement of their generous support.

Utility Alliance joined the local charity’s prestigious Guild of Patrons earlier this year after starting to work with the Hospice in 2017. Their first involvement was as one of the lead sponsors of the #LEJOGAH project which saw Lee Dodgson run the length of the UK and raise an incredible £43,000 for patient care.
