Michelle Henderson said “I decided to raise money for the Hospice as a way to give back for the outstanding care and respect that was shown, not only to my dying husband but to us all as a family. The first night that Sammy went in my whole world was collapsing, I then walked through the door and it felt like they were angels around his bed. The nurses, the atmosphere, the respect he was getting and as if they didn’t have enough to do the comfort I received was second to none.

I hope that making this contribution will go towards helping the next person or family. My daughter, her friend, and my niece are also doing the Great North Run shortly in memory of Sammy which we hope will add lots more to the outstanding amount of over £3000 already made.”
